The Nienhuis factory is certified by the ISO 9001-Quality Management System Standard and Educo was founded by Wim Kronenburg and his brother-in-law Ton van den Berg in 1982. Together they started with the development and production of innovative development materials for preschool education, special needs education, and toy libraries.
EDUCO:

Educo was founded by Wim Kronenburg and his brother-in-law Ton van den Berg in 1982. Together they started with the development and production of innovative development materials for preschool education, special needs education, and toy libraries. Acquired by Heutink in 2001, Educo provides play-based learning through active hands-on products that inspire growth and success in children aged 4-6 years.
We believe that every child deserves the best possible education. That is, education with a focus on individual talents, personal results, and achievements. All of Educo’s products are based on international standards for curricula, goals and skills. They stimulate the development of a child through active, hands-on play. The Educo products are categorized in distinct and clear learning goals and skills.
JEGRO:
Jegro offers curriculum support material for primary schools for 6-12 year-olds. This range seamlessly complement the learning methods for mathematics used in schools. The materials require active and physical involvement and lead to solution-oriented thinking.
Jegro was founded in 1913 in Bolsward, the North of the Netherlands, and started as a manufacturer of fine wood work. Due to a cooperation with the University of Amsterdam Jegro started developing and producing educational materials. From the sixties Jegro dedicated itself to the development and manufacturing of high quality educational materials and teaching aids.
Jegro merged with the Noord Nederlandse Stempel-en Leermiddelenfabriek (NNSL) in 2009, also a producer of educational materials and educational stamps. The trade name became Stempelfabriek & Jegro.
In the end of 2013 Stempelfabriek & Jegro was taken over by Heutink. Jegro is now 1 of the 4 brands of Heutink International, and it is still mainly produced by NNSL.
Together Educo and Jegro make a unique continuous learning model for children ranging in age from 3 to 12 years
